Grief and Loss

Grief and Loss
Grief does not follow a clear path. It can feel overwhelming at times, and strangely quiet at others. You may find yourself moving through daily life while carrying something heavy underneath.
Loss is not only about bereavement. It can include the loss of a relationship, a hoped-for future, a sense of identity, or aspects of family life that were never as they needed to be. Sometimes grief is recent and raw but also could have been causing difficulty for years.
How can therapy help?
Grief often needs space more than solutions. In therapy, we create room to acknowledge what has been lost and how it continues to live within you.
Sometimes grief is complicated by earlier experiences, family dynamics, or unspoken expectations about how you “should” be coping. Together, we can gently explore these layers at a pace that feels manageable.
